रूलर से सही नाप लो

सबसे पहले स्टील रूलर और पेंसिल की मदद से पटरों पर स्लॉट के सटीक निशान लगा लेते हैं।

रंदे से सतह समतल करो

अब हाथ वाले रंदे से लकड़ी को छीलकर सतह को बिल्कुल सीधा, चिकना और एक बराबर कर लेंगे।

फिर हाथ की आरी चलाकर शेल्फ के मुख्य फ्रेम वाले दोनों तख्तों को बराबर लंबाई में काटेंगे।

सर्कुलर सॉ से तेज कट

फिर एक सौ बीस से दो सौ बीस नंबर रेगमाल से हाथ से अच्छी तरह घिसाई करके चिकना बनाएंगे।

कपड़े से पॉलिश चमकाओ

इसके बाद मुलायम कपड़े से वुड पॉलिश लगाकर लकड़ी के प्राकृतिक रेशों को शानदार चमक और सुरक्षा देंगे।

Where beginners go wrong

Skipping grits. Going straight from coarse to fine sandpaper leaves deep scratches that the polish will highlight instead of hide. Work 120, then 220, and do not rush the last pass.

Not clamping before finishing. If the piece can move while you are polishing, you will get uneven patches and they only show up once the light hits it.

Forcing the saw. Pressure bends the blade and the cut drifts off the pencil line. Let the teeth cut at their own pace.
